Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, August 20, FOSM volunteers will fell, limb, and buck several hazard trees near the Crest picnic table at the Kiwanis Meadow Road gate. We will buck the trunks to a length of about 5 feet and hope that they will not be stolen. We will later buck them to 12 inches and split them before hauling them to Mike Oliver's woodlot. If we have time, we will buck some medium-size trees on the ground just below the Switchback Trail and Kiwanis Meadow Road intersection. They are already on the ground, and samples that Jerry Carroll cut indicate that the wood is still good for donation wood.

Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the ranger station.

Wear or bring the following: long pants, long-sleeved shirt, boots with slip-resistant soles, eye and ear protection, work gloves, hart hat, lunch, snacks, and drinks.
