[Volunteers_fosm] FOSM project to process donation wood at Crest, Wed., Sept. 3

Hello Everyone,

We will try again to do the project that was cancelled last Wed. due to rain.

On Wednesday, September 3, FOSM volunteers will buck, split, and load donation wood at the gate on the Kiwanis Meadow Road at the Crest. Several hazard trees have already been felled, and we will buck these trees, split them on Lou Romreo's splitter, and load them on Mike Oliver's trailer. He will store this wood on his woodlot, and next winter members of the Mountain Christian Church Wood Ministry will donate the wood to East Mountain families who heat their homes with wood.

Wear or bring hiking boots with slip-resistant soles, long pants, long sleeve shirt, hard hat, work gloves, eye and ear protection, snacks, lunch, and drinks.

If we have time and space on the trailer, we will process a few tree trunks a short distance down the road.

Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Sandia Ranger District.
