[Volunteers_fosm] Cut brush at two sites, Wed., Oct. 15

Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, October 15, FOSM volunteers will cut brush at the intersection of Cienega Road and the Crest Highway and around Shelter B in Doc Long Picnic Area.

The brush cutting at the road intersection will improve the sight distance for drivers on both roads. The work in Doc Long PA will improve the appearance of the picnic ground for visitors and maybe encourage groups to rent the two modern picnic shelters.

Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the ranger station in Tijeras.

Bring or wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, hiking boots, hard hat, work gloves, lunch, drinks, snacks, and eye and ear protection. We will be using power brush cutters, small chain saws and hand loppers.
