[Volunteers_fosm] FOSM Haul 1 or 2 loads of wood from Crest area, Wed., April 8

Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, April 8, FOSM volunteers will be loading and hauling already-bucked donation wood near the Crest Electronic Site in Mike Oliver's trailer. Lou Romero and I are assuming that the Crest Highway will still be open on Wednesday.

Last fall, we left a few piles up there because snows came earlier than expected. I want to haul as much wood as possible so that it does not decay more during the Crest-area closure for the thinning/masticating project that will be 1 to 2 years.

If we have a large crew on Wed., maybe we can complete loading and hauling one load in time to haul a second load, as we did last fall.

Meet at 8 am on Wed. at the FOSM Guard Station. We will plan to start loading Mike's trailer at about 9 am.

Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a jacket for cool morning temperatures, work gloves, hard hat, snacks, lunch, and drinks.
