[Volunteers_fosm] Bucking and hauling down wood along Crest Highway at towers, Wed., April 29

Hello Everyone,

Wednesday, April 29, is the last day that FOSM can work in the Crest area before the road is closed on April 30 for the project work to begin.

We will buck the logs that are on the ground as we did last fall. We will also roll the bucked wood down to the highway shoulder and load them on Mike Oliver's trailer. These logs are between the upper part of the Crest Highway and the fence around the Electronics Site.

Meet at 8 am on Wednesday, April 29, at the FOSM Guard Station. We will plan to start loading Mike's trailer at about 9 am.

Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a jacket for cool morning temperatures, work gloves, hard hat, snacks, lunch, and drinks. We will be using chain saws; therefore, bring ear and eye protection.
