[Volunteers_fosm] FOSM Project at Capulin PA cut brush at entrance & fell hazard tree, Wed., August 26

Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, August 26, the FOSM general project will be cutting brush at the highway to improve sight distance and felling, limbing, and bucking one hazard tree in Capulin Picnic Area. This tree is located at a picnic table near the restroom.  We will buck the logs to lengths of 4 to 8 feet and leave the wood for homeowners with permits to collect.

We will also check one tall tree with a dead top in 9-mile Picnic Area.

Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the ranger station.

Wear a long sleeve shirt, boots with slip-resistant soles, and long pants. Bring a hard hat, eye and ear protection, work gloves, lunch, snacks, and drinks.
