[Volunteers_fosm] [Reminder]: FOSM Membership Meeting, Tonight, July 7th, 6PM

Good morning, everyone--

I wanted to send a friendly reminder that our General Membership Meeting will be held this evening at 6PM in the SRD conference room. Dr. Deirdre Kann, retired National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) meteorologist, former UNM adjunct professor and frequent speaker at Oasis Albuquerque, will give us a presentation all about clouds.  Hopefully the clouds later this afternoon and evening will give us a little rain.  Dee has expressed an interest in FOSM and all the great volunteer work that our organization does.  Please join us for an evening of learning and sharing stories from the trail!

Deirdre Kann, a native of northern Illinois (Chicagoland), grew up enjoying the great outdoors, science and nature. She earned a BS in mathematics from Towson University and a PhD in atmospheric sciences from Purdue University. She worked for various agencies within the NOAA for 30 years, including 23 years as the Science & Operations Officer at the Albuquerque National Weather Service. Now retired, Dee enjoys public speaking and keeping her eyes on the sky.
