[Volunteers_fosm] Annual Election

FOSM’s annual board election will be held at our general meeting on October 6, 2026. Effective October 7, Mike Madden will step down from the board after serving as President for six years, and Sim Cook will step down from his at-large position after also serving for six years. Many thanks to you both!


Board of Directors officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) serve for one year, so although Mike is the only officer vacating his position, technically all four officer positions are open. In addition, the eight at-large members serve two-year terms in staggered groups of four, so four at-large positions are up for election each year.


Descriptions for the officers and at-large positions are attached. We are seeking nominations for all open positions. You may nominate yourself or someone else who you think is qualified. If you wish to nominate someone else, please ask them first!


This is an open election, and once we have a list of committed nominees the President will send ballots to active FOSM members for early voting before the October 6 meeting. Since we would like to finalize our election ballot by August 15, 2026, please send all nominations by August 10.
