Hi All,
Thanks to everyone who responded about helping to remove trail signs. We would like to plan to remove them on Wednesday 4/1. We will meet at the crest area parking lot at 9am. I will bring up all necessary tools and no PPE required, but you are welcome to wear hard hat/gloves/eye protection if you would like to. Please let me know if you intend to join us! Luis, if you’re out there and available to help, we could use the tamper proof nut socket attachment that I lent to you.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
Take Care,
Jen Medina-Gray (They/Them)

Subject: Removing Trail Signs for Crest Closure
Hi All,
For those of you who don’t know already, the crest area will be under a closure order for a thinning project starting very soon. Canyon and I would like to remove all the trail signs (and leave the posts) inside the closure area so they don’t risk being destroyed. I am here to see who is interested and available to help remove signs. Unfortunately, we will not know until a day or two before the contractor is able to begin work and we think it will be as soon as next week. I will reach out again next Monday to confirm a date for the sign removal fiesta.
In the meantime, if you have any questions feel free to send them our way and we will answer them to the best of our ability. We are working to create some alternative hiking information that will be available to the public next week.
Thanks for everything you all do!
