Hello, FOSM Members and Friends--

Please mark your calendars for our next General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, June 2nd at 6PM in the SRD conference room.  Dr. Les McFadden,  professor emeritus in the UNM Earth & Planetary Sciences Department, will share a fascinating overview of the geologic history of the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande Rift.  Grab your seat early as doors will be open by 5:30PM.

Les McFadden received an MS & PhD in Geosciences from the University of Arizona and a BA in anthropology from Stanford. He served as chair of the E&PS Department, and has received the Kirk Bryan Award from the Geological Society of America and the 2024 Earth Science Achievement Award from the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources.
