The Friends of the Sandia Mountains (FOSM) led 15 volunteers back up Armijo Trail, #222, to continue work on trail reroutes. The work is part of the greater Cienega/Armijo Trails Improvement Project (CATIP), organizing and improving sustainability of a local Sandia Ranger District (SRD) trail network. The current emphasis is on Armijo Trail since it is popular with both locals and visitors.

The crew completed a 0.15 mile reroute, building new trail to replace an old, badly eroded jeep trail. The bypassed trail section was completely obliterated at the end of the session.

The experienced FOSM crew, AKA Berman's Bunch, consisted of Steve Roholt, Rav Nicholson, Betsy Kapiloff, Byron Garner, Eric Russell, Don Carnicom, Mark Grazier, Jenny Blackmore, Lorna Morrow, Jeff Huser, Phil Cromer, Pat and Mike Madden, and Betsy and Bob Galloway.
