Hello Everyone:
Yesterday, Monday, May 6, 2019, the FOSM trails crew removed a total of 15 trees ranging in size from 3 to 27 inches in diameter from portions of Faulty and Tree Spring trails. Crosscut saws and other hand tools were used for this work. One of the reported
trees was located at the junction of Faulty and Sulphur Spring trails and the remainder on Tree Spring. The crew will return to Tree Spring trail next week to finish the work there as a number of fallen trees remain.
The day was pleasantly warm in the morning with cooling in the afternoon. With the exception of Sulphur, where it is located in the drainage and a small tickle of water is flowing, the trails were mostly dry and snow free to the point on Tree Spring where
work stopped.
Yesterday's crew consisted of Byron Garner, Dave McCreery, Cliff Giles, Jim Levesque, Bill Savage, Jerry Pekarek, Cleve Sharp and Bob Lowder.
Please see attached Word document for photos and additional narrative. First photo by Cliff Giles, all remaining photos by Bill Savage.
