ABSTRACT: With our wonderful climate and spectacular setting, there is no city in the country that matches Albuquerque for outdoor recreation.  Join David Ryan, author of 60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Albuquerque, as he takes you to many of the fabulous places our area has to offer.  Locations range from world class destinations, the high country, the back-country, and of course the Sandias.  Along the way you'll take in spectacular views and venture through incredible landscapes.

PRESENTER'S BIO: Immediately before moving to New Mexico 21 years ago David Ryan hiked the entire 2180-mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.  Since coming to New Mexico he has been an avid hiker, explorer, and volunteer for the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) looking for archaeology sites in the back-country.  He has recently walked the Camino de Santiago both in Spain and France.  In addition to taking the lead on the 3rd Edition of 60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Albuquerque, he is also the author of Long Distance Hiking on the Appalachian Trail for the Older Adventurer, The Gentle Art of Wandering and The Bisbee Stairs.
