Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, August 14, seven FOSM volunteers continued to fell hazard trees at Dan's Loop located between 10K Trailhead and Ellis Trailhead along the Crest Highway.

A 28-inch diameter Douglas fir with three major trunks was felled, and the rounds were moved down to the pavement of the former Crest Highway curve where they were split into smaller pieces that could be loaded safely in the USFS truck. Two loads totaling one and one-third cords were hauled to the hazmat building behind the Ranger Station. The wood will be donated to the Mountain Christian Church Wood Ministry which will distribute it to needy families in the East Mountain area.

The volunteers were Dan Benton, Bill White, Dennis Crowther, Lou Romero, Sim Cook, Steve Roholt, and Sam Beard.

Photos are presented in the attached Word document.
