The Friends of the Sandia Mountains (FOSM) trail crew was back working on the Cienega/Armijo Trail Improvement Project (CATIP), extending reroute TC04 to replace an unsustainable user trail. For once the temperature did not rise above 80F but it was still hot working in the sun.

The volunteer crew today were Eric Russell, Bruce Hansche, Byron Garner, Jenny Blackmore, Pat and Mike Madden, and Betsy and Bob Galloway. The crew enjoyed the company and muscle of Sandia Ranger District seasonal trail crew members Joseph Jaffa-Martinez and leader Canyon Young.
