Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, it was decided that the group would work along the road to Cienega Picnic Area after it was thought that the ground was too wet in the Cedro CFRP area to thin the pinon and juniper trees there.

The six volunteers felled and bucked two small dead ponderosa pines near Cienega Road. An 18-inch diameter pine that was felled some time ago and a broken 12-inch pine on the ground were limbed and bucked. The resulting one cord of fuel wood was hauled to the hazmat building on a USFS truck.

The volunteers were Byron Garner, Eric Russell, Jerry Carroll, Lou Romero, Bill White, and Sam Beard.

We hope to start thinning again in the Cedro CFRP next week.
