Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, six volunteers completed the installation of a metal roof on the Yucca site restroom in the Oak Flat Group Picnic Area.

On two earlier work days the old shingles and felt were removed, damaged plywood sheathing was replaced, felt was nailed to the sheathing, and steel roof R-panels were screwed to the sheathing. On Wednesday, caulking and roof cement were applied between the vent structure and the roof panels. Gable trim was installed on both ends of the roof, and the ridge cap was screwed to the steel roof panels.

The attached Word document shows the various steps necessary to complete the roof installation.

The volunteers working on Wed. were Sim Cook, Dan Benton, Ellie Parker, Russell Parker, Jim Levesque, and Sam Beard.
