Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, March 4, FOSM volunteers will return to the Cedro CFRP area south of FR-242 to continue work on the pinyon-juniper forest that FOSM committed to thin. This area is located on the west side of the 32-acre parcel that we have thinned for two years. We did not work several days last fall due to the court order related to the Mexican Spotted Owl habitat.
Meet at 9 AM at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station. Note the later meeting time due to the cooler morning temperatures.
Wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, and sturdy boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring work gloves and hard hats. If you do not have a hard hat, one will be provided. Sawyers are required to also wear 8-inch high boots and chaps. Bring eye and ear protection. Swampers working near saws are also required to wear chaps. Bring lunch, snacks, drinks, and warm clothes.
