NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT:
Yes, !!!TUESDAY!!!, 3/17 (ST Patrick's Day).  The weather
forecast is rain & snow again for Wednesday-Thursday next week
so I'll see if anyone can show up on Tuesday.  Yes, it wrecks my
weekly schedule too (tsk tsk). Sorry for the later than usual
notice but I've been waiting for the forecast to improve but it
hasn't.  The forecast says "Mostly Cloudy" for Tuesday right now
so be prepared for our unpredictable weather. Optimistic though.

BOB WILL BE GONE:
Please reply to ERIC at russells@swcp.com.
We'll be continuing the work from 3/5.

      PROJECT DETAILS:
On !!!TUESDAY!!! 3/17/20, (weather permitting) the Friends of the
Sandia Mountains (FOSM) will again work on the
Cienega/Armijo Trail Improvement Project (CATIP) for the Sandia
Ranger District (SRD). Note start time below.

Please plan on carpooling to the extent possible because we will
access from private property. Space in carpools will be available
leaving from the SRD. The hike in to the work site is about a 3/4
mile. We got a lot done on 3/5!

      PLEASE RSVP:
So we can plan for tools, hard hats, and transportation, please
let me know by email or text 1) IF you plan to participate,
      2) IF you need a hard hat, and 3) IF you have any questions.

      START TIME:

For those meeting us at SRD, be at the FOSM shed ready to
go at 0830. Plan for a chilly start in the morning. Bring your own
lunch, snacks, liquids, and sunscreen. We will eat lunch around
1200, work until 1400 or so, then hike out.

      REQUIRED ATTIRE:

The standard USFS trail work PPE requirements apply: approved hard
hat, eye protection, no open-toed shoes, work gloves, and
pants (no shorts), no exceptions. An approved hard hat can be
provided if needed. NOTE: short-sleeved shirts are fine for
      cutting tread but
brushing, including trail obliteration, requires long sleeves.

Weather or trail priorities can change quickly. Assume
the project is a go but watch for any last minute update or
      cancellation. Thanks.
