Hello Albuquerque,

I want to start off by thanking everyone for their dedication to slowing the spread of coronavirus. We are making progress and encouraging folks to continue these efforts - you are making a difference. We are supporting working families and local businesses with homegrown solutions during this difficult time. From protecting workers’ right to paid leave to expanding outdoor dining to grant funding for small and micro businesses, we will continue to take action to keep Albuquerque’s families and economy afloat.

Let’s also take a moment to applaud parents, educators, and school administrators for navigating through the challenge of back to school during a pandemic. I know that this is not an easy thing for anyone, but our resilience is showing through the work being put in to make sure our kids continue to learn this fall. Remember to be patient with your children, educators and yourselves.

Stay healthy,

Mayor Tim Keller

means the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County could lose approximately 33 billion dollars over the course of this decade.
