Nob Hill Friends and Neighbors.

We just received this update from CABQ Planning. Nob Hill Neighborhood Association will participate in these processes.

We invite you to be involved; attend the training, provide your ideas, serve on a neighborhood workgroup, whatever level works for you.

You can start with one of the study sessions it suggests and see if and how you want to be involved.

I invite you to reply with your ideas or questions.

As part of the commitment to improving the IDO every year, Planning staff has submitted the annual update to the Integrated Development Ordinance for 2020.

This update involves 2 separate sets of proposed changes:

1. <https://cabq.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=57590ee48a0d248f7f0fb64f6&id=f9dd7d719f&e=8aa5b8f488> Text amendments that would affect properties citywide.
2. <https://cabq.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=57590ee48a0d248f7f0fb64f6&id=20149aaa7b&e=8aa5b8f488> Text amendments that would affect properties in 14 small areas in Albuquerque.

You can learn more about these proposed changes to the IDO on the project website by clicking the links above.

Planning staff will host a "study session" / open house for the public on <https://cabq.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=57590ee48a0d248f7f0fb64f6&id=bef4dae7b3&e=8aa5b8f488> Thursday, December 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom. Staff will give a short presentation with an overview of key changes, and then staff will answer questions in breakout rooms for folks who have similar questions.

There are 3 steps in the City's review/decision process, which is expected to take at least 4 months:

1.	The Environmental Planning Commission (EPC) reviews and recommends.
2.	The City Council's Land Use, Planning, and Zoning (LUPZ) committee reviews and recommends.
3.	The City Council decides.

Each of these steps includes opportunities for public comments. Throughout this process, City staff will continue meet with individuals and groups to answer questions and help develop comments/suggestions for decision-makers to consider.

The Environmental Planning Commission (EPC) will review these proposed changes and take public comments at a hearing on <https://cabq.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=57590ee48a0d248f7f0fb64f6&id=95ea2022dc&e=8aa5b8f488> Thursday, January 21 at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom. EPC will make a recommendation to the City Council, which will make the final decision.

Please stay involved throughout the process to help improve the IDO to work better for you and your neighbors.

Community Planning Area Websites

We have launched individual Community Planning Area (CPA) webpages!

In addition to information about the 5-year cycle of assessments, each CPA webpage has information about local projects, the CPA team of Long Range planners, and a story map with area-specific data. Consider all of this information a first draft that we will improve together over time!

Never played with story maps? Have we got a treat for you! There’s a ton of information about demographics, community assets, transportation, and more. Zoom in and out of each interactive map to your heart's delight or read the text to get a quick summary and key takeaways. This information is just a starting point for conversations and more data-gathering with the community on the ground. The assessment process for each CPA will start with this baseline information that can be compared across areas, but then the assessment will go wherever your priorities lead.

We're so excited to learn from you and with you, beginning with the first two CPA areas this spring!
