Good evening Albuquerque,

For all of us in the Duke City, the past few weeks are changing our lives.
Like me, it may even be hard to recall what daily life was like just days
ago.

Keeping people up to date with accurate information is essential during
these times. We’ve held lots of briefings with the media and talked
directly to fellow Albuquerque residents to answer questions about our
response to coronavirus in our city. You can watch those briefings and
other updates on our GovTV YouTube channel

.

I am inspired daily by the outpouring of compassion in our community to
help those most in need, and how we have risen to this fight with courage,
resolve and determination.

I will continue to fight to keep you safe, while making sure that people
are still receiving the necessary services that they need during this
uncertain time.

Stay strong, Albuquerque.

Your Mayor,
Tim Keller

*State Enacts Stay-at-Home Instruction*

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham on Monday announced additional restrictions
to disrupt the spread of the COVID-19 virus in New Mexico and instructed
New Mexicans to remain in their homes or places of residence except for
outings absolutely necessary for health, safety and welfare.

The order — to be issued by Secretary of Health Kathy Kunkel and *effective
8 a.m. Tuesday, March 24 *— closes all non-essential businesses, requiring
100 percent of the state’s non-essential workforce to work from home. As in
other states that have enacted similar measures, there are exceptions
pertaining to essential services for the preservation of health, safety and
well-being.
