Special Procedures for City Council Meeting on Monday, November 16, 2020
In response to the Governor’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency and ban on large public gatherings, the City Council meeting on Monday, November 16 at 3:00 p.m. will be held via Zoom video conference. City Seeks Community Input For Next APD Chief
The City of Albuquerque is seeking community input for the Albuquerque Police Department’s (APD) next police chief with a new online survey. The City’s contracted specialist, Herb Crosby, along with city staff have been meeting virtually with community members and organizations to gather input as the search continues. Homeless Coordinating Council Seeks Public Feedback on Community-Wide Homelessness Framework
The Homeless Coordinating Council (HCC), with representatives from the City of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, the University of New Mexico, neighborhood advocates, and service providers, seeks public feedback on its recently released community-wide framework on homelessness. Since August, the HCC committees have worked collaboratively to identify gaps, needs, and high impact strategies within these core focus areas: services, facilities, street outreach, affordable housing, and youth housing. Virtual Public Meeting on Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Next Week

The City's Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will conduct a meeting from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, and the public is invited to participate and share their thoughts on the 2020 Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan outlines hazards and emergencies that could threaten our area such as floods, wildfires, or severe weather; and identifies ways to reduce impacts through long-term, sustainable mitigation projects. Bernalillo County's Office of The Office of Senior and Social Services will host free online beginner genealogy classes in November and December.
