Zero Bus Fare Pilot Program Promotes Bus Ridership

Starting January 2, 2022, the City's Transit Department (ABQ RIDE) implemented a zero fare pilot program which will be ongoing through December 31, 2022. The zero fare pilot program will not charge bus or Sun Van passengers to ride on City buses or if they are using the Sun Van paratransit service. Masks must be worn at all times on City buses and in Sun Vans. Sun Van customers must still make an appointment to be picked up and dropped off if using this service. Free Digital Literacy Classstmas Day and New Year's Day

The Department of Senior Affairs in partnership with Adelante DiverseIT is excited to offer a series of free digital literacy group classes designed to teach the benefits of technology. Rail Trail Framework Plan Available Online for Public Comment and Feedback

The City of Albuquerque's Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency (MRA) has released the initial draft of its Rail Trail Framework Plan. The Rail Trail is part of the City's work to enhance quality of life for all residents by increasing foot traffic for local businesses, reducing crime by increasing the number of eyes on the street, and improving public health by expanding outdoor leisure spaces and providing more outdoor entertainment options. "No Trespassing" Language for Residential and Business Signs

The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) reminds residents and business owners to always have a No Trespassing sign posted. These signs can be purchased at most sign shops in Albuquerque. APD also recommends that No Trespassing signs have the City of Albuquerque Criminal Code language on them as follows:
"This sign serves as notice that anyone entering or loitering in any manner on this property without conducting legitimate business shall be deemed to have trespassed and in violation of the City of Albuquerque Criminal Code, Section 12-2-3, punishable by a fine of not more than $300, or by imprisonment, not exceeding 90 days, or both."
