Not surprised, we continue to ignore that we are a minority/majority state and that Latino/Native and other minority children are the majority of the school population. That has implications for everything we do but let''s keep pretending that we are New Hampshire.

NM has made significant progress in reducing child poverty and increasing high school graduation rates etc, but we need to explore and address the factors that keep us dead last in child well being and educational opportunity in the Annie E. Casey Kids Count rating system.
