[LWVNM Action] Save the Date: Action Committee meetings will begin Dec 6

Action Committee members, and anyone curious about League action:

The Action committee will begin its weekly meetings to discuss the upcoming session on Wednesday, December 6, at 6:30 on Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent out on this mailing list when we get closer to the date.

We'll use the first two meetings, December 6 and 13, to get organized and share information about what bills we expect to see in the upcoming session. (We might skip Dec 20 and 27 depending on how many people will be busy or out of town.)

November (date not yet set): Educational on Reserve Funds
December 5: Rep. Chris Chandler - webinar on potential gun safety legislation, 6:30 pm via Zoom

January 2 - January 12: Legislation may be pre-filed
January 6: Advocacy Workshop (Saturday 10am to noon via Zoom

January 16: Legislative Session begins (noon) (Tuesday)
January 24: LWVNM Reception (Wednesday)
January 25: League Day at the Legislature (Thursday) – Redistricting & Budget
