*Honoring immigrant workers and kicking off Citizenship Month 2025 *

This week, as the nation honors workers, NPNA is thinking especially about
immigrant workers and their value beyond their labor. We recognize them,
honor their sacrifices, and continue to stand in solidarity as our
communities stand strong to build an inclusive and representative
democracy.

>From coast to coast, NPNA members and allies are hosting citizenship events
to help community members determine eligibility and ensure they are taking
all necessary steps before applying for citizenship. NPNA is excited to
partner with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), National
Association for Latino Elected Officials (NALEO), New Americans Campaign
(NAC), and Citizenshipworks on this effort.

September 17 is Citizenship and Constitution Day, a nationwide call to
action for over 9 million immigrants eligible to naturalize. This year on
Citizenship Day NPNA, our members and partners are calling for a national
day of action. Mark your calendars, below are ways your organization can
participate:

The National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA) will offer a 40+ hour
Overview of Immigration Law Training from September 29 to November 7, 2025.
This course introduces immigration law for practitioners new to the field
and is designed for nonprofit and local government staff and leaders
seeking partial Department of Justice (DOJ) accreditation, which allows
representation of clients before Department of Homeland Security agencies.
