Let’s state the obvious first: Gerrymanderingdistricts for political advantage harms voters "and democracies"

This Editorial calls for a national "Redistricting Act". But like universal childcare, New Mexico should take the lead on redistricting reform.
The LWVNM plans on introducing a memorial in 2027 calling for a Redistricting Task Force. The memorial would be similar to SM7 that was submitted in the last session. - see attached.
