[Awclist] Kayak 'Drop In' at the Rio Rancho Aquatics Center

AWC members - 
Rio Rancho will open their new indoor pool (Rio Rancho Aquatics Center in the Loma Colorado community) to the kayaking community starting Wednesday, September 10th, from 7-8pm. Currently, we have the pool 1hr a week, every Wednesday night from 7-8pm.
 
Going forward, we would like to have 2 hrs/night....even if it is every other week. They are working to accommodate our request, and as such, the current schedule may change, but probably not until October. We are still in the very early planning stages, and they are tweaking their schedule to accommodate a number of groups. 
 
For now, given the time we have, the cost will be $5/person.  Kayakers need not be ACA members....Rio Rancho will cover us on their insurance policy. This makes it easier and more affordable for new boaters to try it out, without the added expense of being an ACA member. 
 
I know we have many members in the Rio Rancho & Corrales area, who do not want to commute across town to Los Altos. Here's your chance to get involved. Please help spread the word about this new program in Rio Rancho.
