I am not surprised between the differences between the "what boaters have to say" and "what anglers have to say". I would expect extreme difficulty in working with Trout Unlimited, from my experiences. They seem to have a lot of political clout, and seem to be able to sway land managers and "reclamation specialist" into their way of thinking. It's why the upper stretches of the Chattooga river are still closed, if you have heard of that case.

They definitely cherry picked the comments. There was one person there that mentioned that above 1000 it made for a very fast trip on the wilderness section.
Most of the feedback I received indicated that people wanted more than 1000 on the releases, and I gave them that feedback, along with the feedback that below 800 most private rafters wouldn't go.
