Good Morning,I wanted to add to yesterday's email about NMBRA elections that Al Wattar is a Board Member at Large.  He was accidentally left off of the list of the NMBRA Board.  Sorry for the confusion,S

Greeting NM Bike Racers,
            Overthe past 6 weeks  your NMBRA boardmembers have worked with USAC, Wells Fargo and the IRS, and have brought NMBRAback to compliance just in time to start our racing season.  As we are gearingup for the 2017 racing season, the NMBRA is looking for people who want to beactive in helping to grow bike racing in New Mexico.  The official website for NMBRA is  www.nmbra.org .  It will serve as one platform for informationfor NM bike racing on all disciplineswhich will include Road, Mountain Bike, Track, CX as well as BMX and Enduranceracing.  The website is functional as ofright now, but it is under construction as we try to populate it with informationthat we are gathering.

            Currently, the board of directorsconsists of:
Silvio Menezes, President (interim), UpgradeCoordinator
Dennis Chavez, Vice President
Sarah Fair, Secretary; Acting Treasurer
Robbie Douangpanya, Board Member at Large
            TheBoard is seeking nominations for the following positions:
Treasurer and Board Member at Large (2)
The term of each position is two years and thenew NMBRA board members must be committed to seeing NM bike racing grow. Theboard meets once a month for approximately 2 hours, however there may othertime commitments such assisting with social media, upgrades etc.  If  this sounds like something you want toparticipate an election meeting is going to be held on Saturday, February25, 2017 at 3 pm at SportsSystems.  The address of Sports  Systems is as follow: 6915 Montgomery BlvdNE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.  All clubs areencouraged to attend.
            NMBRA really wants members who areenthusiastic about bike racing and that want to work with US Cycling to encouragemore people to get out on their bikes and have fun!  Feel free to contacta board member with questions or a better understanding of the jobdescriptions.
