The governor apparently has not yet signed it. It is not law until she does. Write to Governor Lujan-Grisham https://www.governor.state.nm.us/contact-the-governor/ , as Jennifer suggests, and urge her to veto the bill. The governor has line-item veto authority, which is used to veto a particular portion of a bill. She also can use the pocket veto, meaning she does nothing and the legislation is not enacted.

The amended bill has already passed the house and will be sent along to the governor for signing. The discussion is moot at this point.
