[NMCycling] 2021-22 New Mexico Cyclocross series

Hello racers,

I'm excited to announce the schedule for the 2021-2021 Cyclocross points series.  We have 6 races spread over 5 weekends, starting with the Pumpkin-CX doubleheader organised by Echelon Racing, New Mexico. So far four of the six races are scheduled to be held under USA Cycling. We aren’t entirely sure what the prize for actually winning the series will be but, that will be figured out eventually. We apologise for the late notice.

10/30/21 Pumpkin-CX day 1, NMCX #1, USAC,  Albuquerque, NM

10/31/21 Pumpkin-CX day 2, NMCX #2, USAC,  Albuquerque, NM

11/07/21 Lake CX, NMCX #3,   Glorieta Camps, NM

11/14/21 Fiesta Cross NMCX #4, USAC, Albuquerque, NM

11/21/20 Roosevelt CX NMCX # 5, TBD-USAC, Tijeraas, NM

01/08/22 Hays Apple Farm CX NMCX #6 & series finals,  Bosque Farms, NM



Hawk is also hosting several NON-series races of note:
10/23/21 Capulin CX, Albuqueruqe, NM (not NMCX)
12/12/21 Sunnyslope CX, Albuqueruqe, NM (not part of the NMCX series)
1/16/22 Cyclocoss race not USAC not NMCX  (this is the Puzzler weekend)
01/23/22 Atrisco CX, venue tentative, Albuquerque, NM (NM States, not NMCX series race, USAC)

The race day schedules for the series will be:
Race 1: 30 minutes
    Men 4/5

Race 2: 30 minutes
    Master women 40+/50+/60+, Women 4/5, women SS
    Men Juniors 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16, 17/18
    Women Juniors 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16, 17/18

Open course: 30 minutes

Race 3: 60 minutes
    Men open 1/2/3/4

Race 4: 45 minutes
    Women open 1/2/3/4
    Masters Men 40+/50+/60+
    Men SS

Race scoring: 
1st  > 12 pts
2nd > 10 
3rd  > 9
...
11th and on > 1 pt

Tie breakers:
Number of 1st place finishes, then 2nd, 3rd, etc...
