The other issue is that the parents should be held liable for the kid’s actions as well. I don’t think a society should be putting children to death,but I do think parents must assume liability for kids-especially with guns not secured by parents, cars not secured, etc. Of course the kids should lose their freedom and spend much of their lives repaying the family of the deceased. Our laws must change. But killing kids is not the answer.

Really it is representative of a wider problem of dangerous driving, lack of punishment for breaking the law, etc. I am convinced that if people knew they would get ticketed for speeding, for cheating on their tax return, and other smaller crimes that it would be a deterrent to bigger crimes. There really is a reason to support law and order without becoming an authoritarian state.
