[NMCycling] WTF is wrong with this world????

This is incredibly sad and heartbreaking on so many levels it is almost
beyond comprehension. I have felt for some time now that our society is
fascinated by violence. Think of the video games kids play. I believe it
fundamentally changes their understanding and awareness of the consequences
of their actions. TV and movies serve up an endless menu of death, violence
and destruction. Now we have a political climate devoid of compassion and
empathy. If their families are massively dysfunctional, it simply adds fuel
to the fire. Somehow, in that moment, somewhere in their under-developed
cerebral cortex’s, this seemed like a good idea. When we were kids we
probably all pulled some pretty boneheaded stunts. This event, I believe,
highlights the depths to which our society has sunk. And sadly, children
may, ultimately, pay the highest price. Therefore, I would suggest this may
not be a hate crime but rather an incredibly sad example of how
desensitized and distorted these kids have developed into.

Best wishes from the CLE and be safe out there.
