This is about one of the statewide constitutional amendments we’re voting on this fall (the third one listed)

Three statewide constitutional amendments: Read a legislative analysis of the pros and cons here.
• Land Grant Permanent Fund: Should the state send more money from extractive industries into early-childhood education, public schools and other programs? The proposal would increase disbursement cash from the investment of this fund from 5% of proceeds to 6.25%.
• Appointed Judges Re-election: Should a judge appointed to fill a vacancy be up for election at the first general election one year after the appointment? The state constitution now says those judges are up for election at the next general election after appointment.
• Amend the anti-donation clause: Should the state add an exception to the anti-donation clause to appropriate state funds for infrastructure that provides essential services such as internet, energy, water or wastewater?

Albuquerque Press Women and Friends will meet virtually by Zoom on Monday, September 12, at 12 noon to hear long-time lobbyist and attorney Dick Minzner discuss the constitutional amendment that is a partial waiver of the anti-donation clause of the state constitution.

so she can put you on the list to be allowed into the Zoom meeting. 
To protect our privacy and prevent unwelcome spammers, etc., only those on this approved list are allowed in. If you have not previously participated with Albuquerque Press Women and Friends, please give Linda one sentence identifying yourself–that is a safety measure for all our participants. 

Minzner will discuss the amendment and its possible impact on the lives of New Mexicans. The amendment would allow the state to build broadband infrastructure into individual homes and pay monthly charges for qualifying families. The anti-donation waiver also allows the state to provide "other essential services" as directed by the state legislature. The amendment will appear on the November ballot.
