[Lwvcnmtopics] Community event - LWVCNM volunteers needed!

Hi All,
 
The Hiland Community Summer Jam organizers have invited the LWVCNM to staff a table at their annual event next weekend.  This is an opportunities to share information about upcoming elections, for our Voter Registration Agents (VRAs) to update voter registration information, and to share information about the LWVCNM and the work we do in our community (i.e. the observer corps to the Voter Guides, and candidate forums!)  You do not need to be a VRA to participate and the upcoming election/voting information will be available at the table to share with the community.  This is an indoor event from 1 pm – 8 pm on Saturday July 15th.  I am hoping to staff the LWVCNM table with one VRA and one member working together! 
 
Here is the current need for table staff at the Hiland Theater - 4800 Central SE - Saturday, July 15th
    * 12:30 – 4:00 pm
    * 4:00 – 8:00 pm
No problem if you cannot work the whole shift.  Let me know what time you are available in any 2 – 4 hour increments and we will make it work!  😊
 
Per the organizer, ‘We will have dancers, a live DJ, food trucks and a climbing wall. We expect to have a large crowd, 200+, at the event. We will have other service-oriented organizations attending as well. As of now we have New Day & Native Health Initiative. I expect a few more.’
