[Lwvcnmtopics] Celebrating Women's Equality Day on August 26

Dear LWVCNM Members -

As noted in the latest issue of The Voter, LWVCNM is co-sponsoring the Women's Equality Day celebration on August 26 on the UNM campus. August 26 is the day that the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote went into effect in 1920. Our event will include the dedication of a National Votes for Women trail marker to honor the suffrage contributions of Julia Brown Asplund at 3:30 pm. Julia's trail marker is in the plaza area of Hodgin Hall. A program and refreshments will follow from 4 to 6 pm.  Details of the event and a parking map are attached.

Now is the time to RSVP for the event. Space at Hodgin Hall is limited so we need to hear from you very soon. Please RSVP at lwvcnmoffice at gmail.com<mailto:lwvcnmoffice at gmail.com> or by phone at 505-884-8441. First come/first served. We want to be sure to have space for you.
