*The 2026 Legislative Session* *begins this Tuesday,* *January 20* (and
ends on *February 19*).

*How should the New Mexico Legislature address *the water crisis? Find out

*The* *Drop-In Coffee* *is this Saturday,* *January 24,* from 10 AM to noon
in the conference room. Volunteering for Voter Guide work will be one of
the topics of discussion.

*The next LWVCNM **Book Club session* <https://www.lwvcnm.org/book-club/>
is on *January 28 *at 5:30. The book is *The Line Becomes A River –
Dispatches from the Border* by Francisco Cantú.

*The LWVNM League Legislative reception* is *January 29th *from 5:30 to
7:30 at La Fonda in Santa Fe. Speaker: Laura Paskus on Water Issues in New
Mexico.

*League Day at the Legislature* is *January 30th*.

Research Institute, “Budget and Tax issues in the 2026 session”
11:15 – 12:00 Kristina Fisher – Associate Director, Think New Mexico,
