[Neighbors] We were broken into on May 23

Were there any clothes in the stuff they took? Someone stashes clothes and backpacks in my back yard (jumping over the wall). I call the cops and they send out someone to check things out. They say the stuff is abandoned property and toss it in the dumpster, but if you have something identifiable, perhaps the person who does this can be found.
