Thank you for the info, Zachary. In addition to the increase in traffic after ART, residents are still concerned about the speeding and accidents along Lead and Coal.
Just this week a person was driving the wrong way on Lead. To avoid a head-on collision during rush hour, the vehicle's driver jumped the curve near Lead and Solano and he continued to drive on the sidewalk until traffic cleared. He hit my neighbors wall.

Is there updated data on traffic counts in the Lead/Coal corridor post 2015?
The Mid-Region Council of Governments has a nice web site where you can look at traffic counts across Albuquerque (https://public.mrcog-nm.gov/taqa/) but the data only goes up to 2014. The data shows a significant reduction in traffic after 2011 in the Nob Hill section (Girard to Carlisle), which makes sense as the Lead/Coal construction started in Spring 2011. However, that construction ended in June 2012, and the available traffic numbers don’t ever recover to pre-construction levels (as of 2014 they were still about 20% less than pre-construction; peak traffic was back in 2001).
Any idea where we might find data for 2015 on? Would love to have it before speaking out. The data would either confirm or deny my personal assumptions about traffic on the corridor. Having lived in the Nob Hill portion of the corridor for 17 years, and traveling the roads daily, it still feels better now than pre-2011 Lead/Coal construction levels, and much better than when I moved here. But thats just my feeling, not data :-)
Likewise, would love historical accident data - is that available somewhere?
Thanks!
Best regards,-Zach
P.S.: Here’s the per-day traffic count data for Lead/Coal in the Nob Hill section (Girard to Carlisle) from 2014 back to 2000:

Good Morning,
It's great that there will be a meeting. I would like to suggest that this meeting be held in one of the Silver Hill/University Heights/Nob Hill venues, rather than the controlled confines of City Hall. How about the Heights Community Center, 823 Buena Vista SE, 87106? Whenever possible, such meetings with City officials should be held in the neighborhoods to more easily facilitate attendance by neighborhood residents.
Thank you,
Sam Bawcum

Some concerned neighbors from both the Nob Hill as well University Heights have been meeting to find ways to reduce the increasing traffic issues on Lead/Coal. As as result of their efforts, the city planners are agreeing to meet with interested parties on April 26, 2018 at 1 PM. This meeting is supposed to include several DMD staff. The meeting will be held at 1 Civic Plaza 7th Floor. It would be great to have a large turnout to show our concern for the problem.
