Thanks Mark.  Do you think the city of ABQ, NM could implement a marking system for a color code for PNM and another color code for Lume --- eg. gold/brown for PNM and Citelum - The reference for city lighting

for them orange since that is there logo color.  It could be put towards the middle to top of the lights and be highly visible and reflective to help all of us understand who to call and save everyone lots of time and frustration with the current system.

City Lume has the current contract for maintaining thoroughfare/city-owned  lighting. PNM still maintains other neighborhood lighting. How can you tell which is which? Ya gotta call 😜. I’ve just been informed that 311 got the current map this week and should be able to tell/refer appropriately; but PNM is still the first call I’d make since they have been maintaining these and are technically on the hook as “last resort” under long-standing regulations.

?  My Understanding was that it was only PNM so far --- there was talk of the crazy phase lighting Barry Plan but that is done now because of the Art Disaster.  I have already suggested my plan of the 3 Phase Lighting Solution for the City of ABQ. with the exception of certain historical districts like Nob Hill.

I use to call PNM but was told by 311 that City Lume now had the contract

I’d simply call PNM—they’ll tell you quickly.
   - All street light outages should be reported by calling 888-DIAL-PNM. Please try to be as detailed as possible about the location of the light you wish to report.

How do we know if it's a PNM light, or a contract light?

Tom, I saw your message on the listserv and wanted to follow up.
To be clear, PNM has never had a contract to maintain our street lights. They maintain lights that are owned by a PNM And the city has contracted with a new vendor to retrofit our old outdated lights with the new LED version. There is a citywide schedule for that and you may have already seen them and some of our neighborhoods doing that work.
As always, you can help us expedite those requests by providing the street whole number with your report to 311. Or, if it is a PNM light you should notify PNM instead.
If you have notified the utility and have not gotten a response in a reasonable amount of time feel free to reach out to me and we can follow up on the status of your request through my office.

I called City Lume on Monday and reported the street lights that have been out for several days on Coal east & west of Carlisle, since PNM no longer has the contract for street lights. I called back again today and was told that it would take at least two weeks before anyone was able to get to the work order. It seems like a long time to  correct the problem or maybe the new company that got the contract doesn't have sufficient staff to handle the needs. I was told that there were a lot of street lights that were out and it wo uld take some time to correct the problems
