*Energy and Water Conservation Tips for Your Home*
With winter weather upon us, it’s a good time to take a look around your
home and see how you can save money and conserve resources. Here are some
ideas:
· Seal up gaps around windows and doors with weather stripping and
caulking.
· Switch over to LED light bulbs, which may cost a bit more up front
but last much longer and save money on electricity.
· Adjust your thermostat and if possible, invest in a smart
thermostat that can be programmed to automatically adjust.
· If possible, replace single-pane windows with double-pane units and
low E-glazing.
· Have your heater inspected and filters cleaned out.
· Remember that you don’t need to water as much in the fall and
winter months and adjust your irrigation needs accordingly.
· Consider replacing your toilet with a low-flow unit, which saves
money and is much more efficient.

months, visit: www.pnm.com or www.abcwua.org
