You have the right ratio. Maybe cut back on water just slightly, but more than likely they have probably switched to a more protein heavy diet in the form of gnats and other small insects. Our hummer friends are back but very few are paying any attention to my feeder. Wondering what is going on? I use two cups of boiled drinking water from Smith's (not the stinky stuff that comes out of the tap), with 1/2 cup sugar, cooled and put into my totally cleaned feeder. Very little activity/interest. What am I doing wrong?
