Focus groups are: Public Safety/Quality of Life, Tree Canopy Restoration, Community Engagement, Historic Preservation, and Urban Planning. -Nob Hill will soon receive 100 free 15 gallon trees from ABQ Neighborwoods/Tree NM with support from Councilor Pat Davis. All 100 planted trees have been adopted thanks to the efforts of our Tree Canopy Restoration Committee’s awesome volunteers. They will be planted on Saturday, February 26th by local volunteers, Tree NM and Dakota Tree Project. Huge thanks to Marc and Pamela Weese Powell of Dakota Tree Project, Nob Hill’s committee co-chairs.
-Saturday morning, March 5th 100 five gallon trees will be given away. Watch this space for details.
-We have a few water conservation calendars left. Pick one up on the porch at 316 Amherst NE or reply and we’ll bring you one.

Neighborhood Pollinator Initiative Seeks to Increase Bee Population with Native Pollinator Plants

The Nob Hill, Spruce Park and Pueblo Alto Neighborhoods are teaming up to create a Neighborhood Pollinator project, and you're invited to participate! The project aims to increase the planting of pollinator plants and flowers, preferably native plants, and as a result, also increase the bee and butterfly populations in the city of Albuquerque. Throughout 2022, a variety of trainings and activities, including cooking classes, drought-tolerant planting classes, and neighborhood plant giveaways are planned. Central and Yale Metropolitan Redevelopment Area Public Meeting Coming Up in February

The Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency (MRA) is considering designating the Central and Yale corridors of the University and Silver Hill neighborhoods as a Metropolitan Redevelopment Area. Neighborhood Cleanups Offered through Solid Waste Management Department

Did you know that your neighborhood association can sign up for two (2) free neighborhood cleanups per year? Just call 311 and let them know you want to schedule a neighborhood cleanup. Solid Waste will get back to you to find out where you live, how many people will be participating in the clean up, and get you scheduled. Trash bags, gloves and litter grabbers will be provided free of charge, and a Solid Waste truck will pick up all the trash and litter your group collects. Call 311 to schedule your cleanup today.
