Just want to jump in on the ART discussion, as there still seems to be
quite a lot of misunderstanding regarding the impacts of the transit
system. As a frequent user of the ART system, I can say it has been a game
changer for so many folks including myself. The community impacts are also
overall quite positive. For detailed analysis and research, please check
out these articles:

https://urbanabq.com/2023/09/30/successful-transit-in-albuquerque-its-real/#:~:text=In%20areas%20like%20East%20Downtown,of%20Main%20Street%2Desque%20facilities
.
In a nutshell, the ART corridor is significantly safer for pedestrians and
cars than it was before its implementation while overall economic activity
and investments have also increased significantly. The closure of beloved
neighborhood businesses is always hard, but that's no reason to malign a
transit system that is so positively transformative for so many folks and
communities.
