Hi Bob,

1. Could you lay out your criteria for considering ART a failure? I find it
hard to take seriously the suggestion that the city should invest ~$100
million to dismantle a project that, coincidentally , provides immense
benefit to individuals at risk of homelessness—far more than any supposed
drop-in center in our area could offer.

2. Also, I recommend you read up on the Gateway Center's substantial suite
of services to understand why it requires such a large complex.
Coincidentally, it's only a mile and a half from the nearest ART bus stop.

3. It’s also worth noting the irony that ART actually *reduces* the "number
of cars without mufflers or emissions controls polluting the air" on
Central. Can you clarify the point you’re making here?

4. The ultimate irony, of course, is that Central Avenue’s business
corridor has its roots in Route 66, a symbol of people passing through.
Ninety years later, while much has changed, it remains true that this
corridor’s viability depends on outside investment.

Best,

Drew
