[Neighbors] Two Nob Hill Restaurants are Closing

I do wish they could program a left turn, flashing-yellow arrow signal on Central when no bus traffic is using the lane. The protected turn timing system is built for ART busses that are much more frequent than their current 20-30 min intervals.

The system seems intelligent enough to tell when a bus is approaching and could go back to solid red when it senses an approaching bus. This would alleviate one of the biggest frustrations I know people have—you’re stuck at a light with no oncoming traffic but cannot legally turn.

I find it hard to take seriously the suggestion that the city should invest ~$100 million to dismantle a project that, coincidentally , provides immense benefit to individuals at risk of homelessness—far more than any supposed drop-in center in our area could offer.
