I agree!  Ellis Trail Network too compacted; a lot is icy and crusty.
Softened up more late morning  but we had already switched to snowshoes.
I'd wait for more snow as predicted.

FYI: Theres a large tree down across Upper Switchback trail, a short ways
past the Buried Cable Junction.
Holly will be sending a picture of it to Sam Beard.
