[NMCCSC] Sandia conditions

I skied from the Ellis trail network in the early to late afternoon and the conditions had not improved. Apparently, that area got more rain than snow last night.

The trails in the trees were quite icy and I gave up on them after meeting another couple coming out who reported that the whole network was icy. The groomed trail by the road had softened up and was skiable. I found the downhill sections quite breathtaking and not likely everybody’s cup of tea.

On the bright side. The snow base is still thick and all it should take is a good snow to make the trails right. Hopefully the snows predicted for early next week will give us that.
